Innovative heating solution for stylish college project

Cornish College of the Arts
200 units/20 Floors
Capstone Development
2025 Terry Ave., Seattle, WA

When Cornish College of the Arts built the first “ground up” project in 100 years on its Seattle campus, they needed a heating solution that would match the visual appeal of the entire project. Because of that, project developer Capstone Development, which has 23-years of experience in higher education and student housing, choose to use the Apex72. Its sleek, compact design and overall look made it the right heater for the project, according to a construction manager at Capstone. The heater also provides reduced maintenance and operating costs and delivers a lot of heat in a compact footprint.

The 20-story building in the South Lake Union neighborhood, completed in Fall 2015, has been getting a lot of attention. The project was named the 2015 Building of The Year by the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce. Not only does it provide 200 dorm rooms, but it also will serve as the college’s “living room”, as a central hub for students.
