I have some very exciting news to share today. Later this fall Cadet will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Glen Dimplex Group, based in Ireland.

This acquisition comes after months of discussions and due diligence behind the scenes from both Cadet and Glen Dimplex.

Dick Anderson founded Cadet almost 60 years ago and decided about a year ago that it was time to explore a partnership or acquisition that would secure Cadet’s future in the electric heat industry.

Honestly, there were quite a few companies that were interested in Cadet, but we’re confident that Glen Dimplex is the best possible outcome for our employees, our customers, and for the Anderson family.

So what does this mean going forward? Glen Dimplex will provide additional products and resources for us to expand our reach throughout North America. Cadet products will continue to be built in our Vancouver, Washington plant and whether you call, email, or start a live chat with us, you’ll still reach our Vancouver-based customer service representatives.

We hope to share more information with you in the coming weeks and months so stay tuned to our blog for the latest updates. If you have a question, don’t hesitate to let us know.

For now, if you have any further questions, please take a few minutes to watch the video at the top of this post, which includes some more details on the news or check out the official Cadet press release and customer FAQs.
