Ordering Information

All Cadet baseboard heaters require a thermostat. For optimum comfort use a Cadet electronic wall thermostat, or or choose the convenience of a built-in BTF model thermostat.

8F2500 models are 312 watts per foot. Standard dual-rated 240/208 volt models are 250 watts per foot at 240 volt, and low density 187 watts per foot at 208 volt.

Technical Information

Baseboard heaters work best when placed under a window and at least 12 inches away from furniture or other objects. Keep at least a 12-inch minimum distance from objects hanging above (i.e., drapes).
Do not install below electrical outlets.
The heater may be placed directly on the floor and mounted to the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now Absolutely Silent Very pleased with this unit (heater + "BTF" thermostat). When first installed, it was making some minor noise, especially when first turned on or off. I widened the mounting holes into horizontal slots, and installed some high-temperature silicone 'shims' (1/8" thick, cut into approximately 1" x 3" vertical strips) between the unit and the wall at each mounting location to allow some play. Also made sure not to overtighten the screws connecting it to the wall. Have used it for months now and it is *absolutely silent* all the time, even on start-up and shut-down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice I replaced an 8ft older electric baseboard heater that malfunctioned. Installation was a cinch. The quality of the product is evident when doing the installation

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud banging noises I have done everything suggested to reduce the loud banging and popping that occur with heating up and cooling down of these heaters. It was so loud in my bedroom that I have to turn it off in the bedroom to be able to sleep through the night. I can hear the ones on the first floor banging and clanging on the second floor. Since they have already been installed it is too late to return them. I had to hire someone to install them since I have old wiring that did not match the diagram (I had more wires than pictured).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced 30 Year Old Ones!!! My old Electric Baseboard was 30 years old and original in my Condo. They were so loud when the heat turned on. These are great replacements, took me no time to swap out and they are great looking units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This product was a snap to install. Took less than an hour. It provides a great source of heat and keeps the space nice and warm with little effort. The product does not have to run continuously as I feared it might. I was happy it is an American Made Product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud Hum plus Crackle and Pop I bought the white 2500 watt Cadet heater to replace an older one for two reasons; I repainted the walls in the room and the color of the old heater no longer looked good, and the older heater was 10 feet long and the Cadet heater of the same wattage is only 8 feet long. The old heater was completely silent throughout all stages of operation. Unfortunately, the new Cadet heater had a loud hum and crackled and popped (loudly) as it heated up and cooled down. The wording on the box that the heater came in said "Quiet Heat Starts Here." This heater did not provide quiet heat. I ended up returning the new Cadet heater.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great replacement!! I recently replaced my 1970s bb heaters with Cadet's 1500 watt 240 volt heaters. Instalation is simple. However, I must strongly recommend before installing them hook them up to adequate power outside to "burn off" the manufacturer oil used in production of these heaters. It does mention the oil in the directions booklet. Other than that, these heaters are a great way to keep my place warm through WV winters & also they freshen up a room with quiet and much quicker heat than those being replaced!
