Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little heater! Gets the job done, easy to use and looks good. Compact design does not take much room. I have a 750 square foot, insulated garage and this little heater does a great job in the middle of Chicago winters. In fact, while working on my car the other day I had to turn it way down as it was getting too warm in the garage. Only opinion is it would be nice if it had an option for a remote thermostat. If the unit is mounted high, you could not reach the knob to set the temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just keeps going I purchased my first one 20 years ago and it just keeps going. All I need to do is every once in a while is do some maintenance to keep it clean and lubed. I just purchased a second one for a new shop and expect to get the same service out of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fan Blades Not Aligned Hitting Shroud Received The Hot One heater, got it unpacked plugged in and fan doesn't work. The fan motor is not aligned in the opening of the shroud the blades hit the bottom and can't turn. Now I have a heater that doesn't work and have to wait for Northern Tool to contact your company for resolution. Not what I expected for something that costs over $300.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fan Blade contacts the shroud on high heat In high heat the fan blade is out of balance and hits the shroud, pretty consistently. In low heat it doesn't. I've noticed that in low heat, the fan doesn't seem to be unbalanced and create shaking, while in high heat, the fan definitely vibrates, creating contact with the shroud. The fan is not centered within the shroud, the blade is really close to the shroud on the lower left side, with the air blowing in your face. If the fan was centered, this may not be a problem. Are there any fixes to resolve the fan contact with the shroud? Other than that, it seems to be a good heater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the Job! I bought the RCP402S right after building my wood shop in 2004, and the unit performs well after 13 years. My shop is 2970 cu. ft. I find I need to air blow out the dust occasionally, and just do it every other week. Highly recommend The Hot One.
