Here at Cadet, one of our core values is “We strive for community well-being”. As a company, as well as individuals, we contribute to our community in numerous ways such as the adopt-a-highway program, Vancouver parks and other volunteer opportunities we’re passionate about. When we re-launched our brand last fall, we searched for a way to give back to our community in a relevant way that really connected with our mission to deliver warmth, comfort and energy savings to every Cadet customer. As we looked into possible charity organizations, we learned about Operation Warm Heart and their objective immediately resonated as a great fit for us. Operation Warm Heart is a division of Clark County Public Utilities
that has been helping local families in financial crisis for more than 20 years. What you might not know is that many low-income housing developments look to energy-efficient heating sources such as Cadet electric heaters to provide affordable warmth for their residents. Since its creation in 1985, Operation Warm Heart has provided nearly $2.4 million to approximately 11,000 limited-income families in crisis situations who need help paying their electric bill. The program provides grants to limited income customers who are in financial crisis and unable to pay their Clark Public Utilities bill.
We partnered with Clark County Public Utilities
by donating $5,000 to Operation Warm Heart which will help approximately 16 families keep their home warm and the lights on. Our president, Hutch Johnson, joined them recently in a ceremony to acknowledge the important work of Operation Warm Heart. We’re thrilled to help their cause.
