Cadet community volunteer goal exceeded
15- 01- 2014
A while back, we told you about our 2013 community volunteer goal of 750 hours. This is a combination of both individual employee volunteer hours and Cadet sponsored volunteer hours, in support of our local community. We are thrilled to announce that we exceeded our goal for 2013 with a total of 924 volunteer hours. Some examples of our Cadet sponsored hours are our local “adopt-a-highway” clean-up. We proudly maintain the clean-up of a 2-mile stretch of our local Interstate 205. We have participated in the clean-up and maintenance of our local Vancouver Lake Park, and volunteer to host “best practice” tours for other local manufacturers. Also, over the years, Cadet has done a toy drive for our local school district, where Cadet matches employee contributions. Our employees don’t need our direction to get involved in our local community though. Some examples of their individual volunteer efforts include feeding the local homeless, coaching children’s sports teams and volunteering at their local schools, working fund raisers for local underprivileged children through back-to-school supply collections, and Christmas toy collections. Many of our members belong to fraternal and social clubs or organizations that support our military veterans and those less fortunate.
