One of our Technical Support experts, Thomas Jones, took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge over the weekend and challenged all of us at Cadet to do the same.
I'm sure you've seen the videos going around with people dumping buckets of ice cold water over their heads in support of ALS research. While we're honored to accept the challenge, we decided to take it on in our own way. We are all about providing warmth so it seemed strange to dump ice water on ourselves. Cadet has always believed in bringing warmth and comfort to our community. In keeping with this tradition, our executive team decided to forget the ice and just make a warming donation on behalf of all of our employees to the ALS Association. This group funds ALS research and helps connects patients and families to helpful information and resources. We hope that our donation and those of countless others during this social media campaign will do just that for those who have been diagnosed with the disease and their families and friends. “I speak for everyone in our building that we are honored in being challenged, and that we join everyone to help bring comfort to all the families touched by ALS,” Cadet President Hutch Johnson said.
